This role will be tasked with building colleague engagement within Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) and our reputation as an employer, by leading a multichannel communication programme across the company.

You will be given the opportunity to democratise internal communication so that management can drive their own colleague engagement programmes across the teams they lead. You will conduct horizon scans and build a strategic internal communication programme whilst providing insight and MI to help drive a continuous improvement engagement programme.

Role Accountabilities

Scope and deliver the internal communication and employee engagement strategy, key announcements, and other employee communications across multiple channels

Translate business objectives and requirements into effective IC&E strategies

Provide an effective communication strategy and training to ExCo, senior leaders and Office of CEO so that they can deliver effective Internal Communications to their teams

Work closely with the Head of Communications to ensure alignment with external communications and stakeholders

Continuously track and measure effectiveness of strategy and report insights to key stakeholders

Manage the colleague voice strategy including colleague surveys and ongoing action plans

Manage Internal Communications team

Participate as member of Corporate Affairs Committee to ensure an ‘an one’ HL approach across all Corporate Affairs activity.

Experience / Skills

Proven track record and qualification in Internal Communications and employee engagement, ideally with 5 years minimum experience

Outstanding communications skills and influencing skills

Proven record of driving employee engagement

Team management track record

Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills – able to work to deadlines and manage time in a flexible manner with an ability to manage competing priorities

Ability to utilise a network of contacts across the business to keep up to date with business strategy, issues, and initiatives

Experience of leading through change and implementing effective IC&E strategies that drive the necessary change.

Ability to analyse and contextualise complex issues, identify key points to be addressed and develop effective, practical plans to resolve complex problems
