Support the Senior IC manager/ ICBP to plan, co-ordinate and deliver the communications campaign for Operational Resilience – ensuring that all activity is planned to ensure maximum coverage and impact
Work collaboratively with the Operational Resilience Change Manager and the Employee relations team, jointly developing a comprehensive communications plan to support both the general engagement, to address the specific crew and crew body concerns, and to support the changes required to deliver the Operational resilience programme
Support the planning and delivery of work-stream communication requirements. Prioritising support levels where needed, and putting in place support strategies for those teams who may have to self-serve
Ensure all communications support our internal brand and house style
Write and edit copy for Workplace, our intranet and all internal electronic newsletters
Take ownership for publishing content related to the programme
Continually ask for and respond to feedback from our people, building it into the communications plan as appropriate – test and learn approach
Develop and implement a measurement approach, that’s detailed enough to inform where we might need to change our communications approach, where we might need to do more to embed understanding, and where we’re achieving what we set out to do

Requirements of the Role

Minimum five years’ experience in Internal Communications
A creative thinker who can develop and implement ideas in line with airline culture
Experience of acting as a ‘communications consultant’ with an understanding of how to define business driven, results oriented internal communications plans either in an agency or in-house
Experience of working closely with senior management and influential stakeholders
Confident, articulate with excellent listening skills
Strong interpersonal skills and good presenter – able to make recommendations with gravitas and inspire confidence in others
Assertive and able to deal with difficult people and situations
Excellent planning and organisation skills; good project manager
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Knowledge of all IC channels including social media; understanding of wider communications disciplines; the role of research and strong measurement; how IC links to business strategy.
Strong technical skills – strong writing, editing and planning skills; knowledge of Workplace, Sharepoint and Poppulo a significant advantage
Ability to create event concept papers/proposals from scratch; strong writing skills
Ability to deal with pressure, cope with large workload, multi-skill and juggle
Ability to deal with conflicting agendas and fluctuating priorities
Practical, tenacious, resilient, energetic and enthusiastic
Technically adept and able to use Microsoft Windows, Excel, Power Point, Word etc
Familiarity with the airline or transport industry would be advantageous
