Here at Sage we are looking for someone with a passion for internal communications to develop and implement our comms strategy in our People function on a global scale…but don’t worry, you will still be very much in the detail.

You must but equally focussed on the strategy and delivery of the plan you develop and be confident dealing with stakeholders up to the exco level.

You can come from any background, but experience in an in-house function will certainly set you up for success.

Key Responsibilities

Job Purpose

As we continue to grow, our global communications team has an exciting opportunity for a colleague to join our internal communications team, predominantly supporting our global People Function.

The candidate will provide counsel and support to the People Senior Leadership Team and, in particular by the Head of People’s “go to” person and entry point to the Communications function.

The candidate will be responsible for providing strategic counsel, advising senior leadership on the best way to communicate with colleagues both within their own function and to the wider global organization, developing and executing plans.

As part of the global Internal Communications function, you will also be responsible for driving best practice and employee engagement across the organisation to ensure our colleagues understand and support the Sage Values, Vision, Brand and Strategy.

The successful candidate will work with colleagues at all levels.

Strong stakeholder management experience is essential as is first class project management and writing skills.

Experience of working in cross-functional teams is highly desirable as is a collaborative, positive mindset, and experience of using modern internal communications tools.

Sound experience of change management is also required.

Key Accountabilities And Decision Ownership

Partnering with at least one global function leader as their IC Business Partner

Provide communications expertise and tactical execution delivered to the functions the role is aligned to

Support the function in identifying and planning out initiatives that will support its vision, strategy and goals as they relate to wider Sage corporate objectives

Execute to a consistent, transparent framework of planned activities and communication channels for all functional communications

Support the delivery/articulation of the Sage values & strategy via simple, engaging, accurate and consistent visual, verbal and written communications

Responsible for the tactical execution of the global communications strategy

Produce original, innovative communications content that connects colleagues to Sage

Drive and promote consistency in relation to functions and business communications

Delivery and project managing of events

Responsible for supporting the delivery of global all hands meetings, such as kick offs, in close collaboration with in country teams and processes to ensure information cascade from global to regions and countries

Contribute to the development of a world class comms function

Technical / Professional Qualifications

5-7 years’ experience in internal communications
